The primary objectives and purposes of the Mission Youth Soccer League shall be:

To develop, promote and administer the game of soccer among youth boys and girls in CYSA age groups Under  5 through Under 19 , to provide organized, supervised, structured, culturally relevant activities for the youth of San Francisco, Daly City and the entirety of Cal North, District 1 to serve as many youth as possible within the boundaries of the association, to provide a positive experience for youth that will foster cooperation, promote conflict resolution, promote healthy competition, and reduce gang activity, to provide positive adult role models for youth, to involve members of the community in planning and implementation of the programs and activities of the organization, to develop an inner-city community-based educational and recreational program that will serve as a model for publicly supported programs, and to foster an expansion of services available to “at risk youth” by private non-profit athletic associations.  In so doing, MYSL aims to combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.
