The Mission Youth Soccer League (MYSL) promotes a year round soccer program for youths ranging in ages from 4 to 19. The mission statement of MYSL is to provide a year‐round soccer experience. Teams registering with the MYSL are expected to participate and play in the soccer program throughout the seasonal year, which runs from the beginning of August to the end of June of the following
year. MYSL is part of the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) and supports only CYSA sanctioned leagues.
If you will be submitting your original paperwork to MYSL for the 2012 – 2013

Recreation and Park Department (SFRP). These access policies have been negotiated by Mission Youth Soccer League (MYSL) with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department (SFRP) over many years. The MYSL cannot provide exceptions to these policies.
Recreational Teams:
Team ages u6‐u11 will get 1 practice day per week
Team ages u12‐u14 will get 2 practice days per week
Competitive Teams:
Team ages u8‐u9 will get 1 practice day per week
Team ages u10‐u19 will get 2 practice days per week
Permits are given for the following Seasons; Fall, Spring and Summer, and only if
you are playing in any of these leagues: MYSL, CCSL, SSFUYSL, PAL or SF VikingsYSL.
Permits are given for the Winter season only if your team will be playing in any of
the CYSA Cups: State, Presidents, Association or Founders and will be valid for the
duration leading up to the Cup.
To receive a field permit for practice or home games from the San Francisco
Recreation and Park Department, Permits and Reservation Division, the rules state
there can be no more than 2 nonresidents players for team ages u6 – u14, and no
more than 4 nonresidents players for team ages u‐15 – u19, on any San Francisco
based travel teams. This applies for the entire season, not just for the initial
registration, which starts play in August. Meeting the residency requirement is
essential. SFRP will be increasing scrutiny on all teams and any team found to be
falsely registering players or exceeding the rule will be banned and will be required
to reform with a new coach and manager.
