All paperwork for MYSL teams playing in U12-U14 Association Cup must be to the MYSL office by noon on Friday, December 21. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Good Evening U12-U14 Founders’ Cup Participants
I have attached a scanned copy of the information packet for U12-U14 Founders’ Cup. Most of the information you have already received but this packet consolidates the information into one convenient, downloadable packet. The packet and the individual components that are included in the packet will be posted in the Founders’ Cup section of our webpage beginning tomorrow.
Please be sure to share this information, particularly the hotline information, the field directions and maps as well as the most up to date schedule.
We are in contact with the City of Ripon and will work closely with them to monitor the weather and fields. The fields looked good today but they will assess their condition again on Wednesday. If for some reason there is a weather –related field closure, we will update the hotline, post information on our website and notify each team by email. Please advise your team members to continue to check the website and hotline.
At the Jr Cup Festival, despite sending out instructions, we encountered a few hurdles at check in that we hope to avoid at Founders’ Cup Check In. In addition to following all of the instructions included in the information packet, if you follow the following instructions, it will help alleviate any issues at check in.
1. THERE ARE NO GUEST PLAYERS IN CUP. EVERY PLAYER THAT PARTICIPATES WITH YOUR TEAM MUST BE ON YOUR OFFICIAL CYSA CAL NORTH ROSTER AND HAVE AN ELIGIBILITY OF 12/5/12 OR EARLIER IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN U12-U14 FOUNDERS’ CUP. THE GOTSOCCER ROSTER IS NOT ACCEPTED AS THE OFFICIAL ROSTER!!!
2. BEFORE YOU CHECK IN ON SATURDAY, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE SIGNED MEDICAL/LIABILITY RELEASE ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF YOUR PLAYER PASSES. IF THEY ARE LAMINATED AND HAVE NOT BEEN COMPLETED & SIGNED, HAVE THE PARENT USE A FINE POINT SHARPIE TO WRITE ON THE LAMINATE. IF YOUR PASSES DO NOT HAVE THE FORM ON THE REVERSE, PLEASE GO TO THE FOLLOWING LINK TO DOWNLOAD THE FORM: Player Pass Medical Release Sticker
3. FINALLY, BE SURE TO ADVISE YOUR TEAM MEMBERS TO CHECK THE CUP HOTLINE AND MOST CURRENT ONLINE SCHEDULE BEFORE THEY LEAVE HOME IN CASE THERE ARE ANY CHANGES.
If you are planning a practice game for the winter, you must contact Jose Guzman. Joaquin is out for the winter and all practice games must have a ref. The league needs to know all of the details of the game to make sure that the team and players are insured.

f your team would like to have try-outs, please plan to schedule between December and February. Please let Mr. Guzman know what you would like to do so that he can work to get fields for you. Try outs can be scheduled Fridays- Sundays (Fridays are best, Saturdays are ok, Sundays are possible but not optimal.) IMPORTANT– fields for try-outs will only be in one hour sessions per day and teams will be responsible for the $26 per hour fee. Once your try-out dates are confirmed with field availability, you may create flyers and publicize the try-outs.
If your team is planning to run try-outs during your regular practice sessions, you will have to limit the participation to one or two players per session and also limit to private communication, no flyers.
