~CYSA Cups

Brackets for the U12-U13 State Cup, U9-U13 Presidents Cup, U9-U14 Association Cup and U10-U14 Founders' Cup are posted on the CYSA website.

Schedules for the U9-U11 Cup Festival at Cherry Island are posted.

Schedules for the U12-U14 Founders' Cup at Mistlin Sports Park in Ripon will be posted on Friday, November 18th.

Staff will continue to work on schedules for U12-U14 Association Cup and U12-U13 Presidents Cup & State Cup in chronological order according to when the games will be played.  Schedules will be published no later than three weeks prior to the start of the cup.

~SF PAL Spring Soccer League

SFPAL is here to remind you of the spring soccer league! If you are planning on having your team play in the spring (tentatively March 17th-May 20th) you must fill out an intent to register on-line form. 

Please fill out the form when you have your SF Vikings fall roster with you. You can also find this form up on our website at www.sfpal.org/soccer  

Remember, this is just an intent to play form. Completing this form does NOT register you or your team for the spring season. Details of spring registration will be posted in the coming weeks.

SFPAL will move to a BRAND NEW on-line registration system! We will still take in-house appointments starting in January to complete team registration but, the new on-line system we hope will make things easier on the coach and team manager!

~Vikings Update

Unfortunately, we didn’t escape the rain last week. We partner with Rec. and Park to try to keep fields open, but it isn’t always possible. Luckily, thanks to City Fields partnering with Rec. and Park, we have more turf fields than ever. Turf fields not only allow us to keep games going when it rains (or rains the night before), but it also adds lights, so that adults can play at night. This significantly expands our playable hours and allows us to not restrict the number of teams.

If you don’t want to be rained out, then consider Speaking at the two meetings upcoming that are important for the Beach Chalet project. If you can go to either one and voice your support, please do:

U8/U9 Teams

Our policy is not to reschedule games for the U8/U9 age group. That is because a lot of teams at this age are ready to move onto other activities, so it does not work to just slide games by one week. We rarely get two teams that both want to still play at the same time. You should already have your medals to distribute. Thanks to everyone for a great season!!


U10+ Tournament Games that were at Morton or Polo

All these games will be rescheduled on artificial turf for this coming weekend. We are working on the schedule and will post it on Monday. Looks like rain again, so Go out and get soaked and Have fun!

It has been a great three years for me. Thank you for the opportunity to impact the lives of so many kids. Remember there is no “I” in President. Wait, there is. I guess I meant no “I” in team. And we have a great team on the Vikings Board!

We are looking for volunteers for next season. If you see things the League can improve on, then please forward your suggestions, but also get involved!
