VERY IMPORTANT - If you have a game scheduled for this weekend (8/25-8/26) or in the future that you are not planning to play, you MUST let Joaquin know right away. Also let your playing league know. If you don't, you will be responsible for the ref fees.
If you need to reschedule games for fall, please know that it will be very difficult find fields. You will either have to let the other team know that you cannot accomodate a change, or you will need to ask them to find a field. Beginning September 3 through November it will be tought to find fields in San Francisco.
Don't forget to block out any dates that you can't play due to tournament participation!

~2012/2013 Passes
If your team is playing CCSL or CCSL Prep, your 2012/2013 Passes will be given to you at the AGM. Unfortunately, due to teams trying to use prior year passes for players that were not rostered we must collect your prior year passes, so please make sure you have those with you on September 5.
Please note that we have received updated information from Park and Rec about documentation required for proof of residency. We are currently auditing our files and will contact you and the player’s family if we require updated documents.
~USF Men's Soccer Invites MYSL
Through Coach Adam Meron, we recieved the following invite from USF. It is a great opportuty for team building!
I wanted to invite Mission Chivas and Mission Youth Soccer League to a USF Dons Men's Soccer game this season. We are holding a Hispanic Heritage Night we are calling Dia De Los Dons on Friday, October 12th vs. Loyola Marymount and we would love to have Mission Chivas and Mission Youth Soccer League come out. We offer all youth 12 and under the opportunity to participate in many exciting game day experiences beginning with a high five tunnel as the players enter the field and the opportunity for 22 athletes to take the field with the 6-time National Champion USF Dons as well as the visiting team. In addition, roughly 30-40 youth athletes will play two organized halftime scrimmages and everyone will be invited to receive post-game autographs from the Dons. We are always open to any other suggestions that will make this day more exciting for your youth athletes.
All youth soccer players, as well as 2 coaches/chaperones per team, will receive FREE admission to the game. All we need is the number of players coming per team as well as the names of the players 13 and over (for NCAA compliance purposes). Please let me know if Mission Chivas and Mission Youth Soccer League is interested in coming out on October 12th vs. Loyola Marymount for Dia De Los Dons. As a final note, all Sundays are youth free days at Negoesco Stadium! All youth ages 12 and under receive free admission on Sundays regardless of any affiliation to a youth league or team. `2012/2013 District 1 ODP
In District 1 there will be no tryouts at the district level. Players going to State tryouts will be recommended by their coach, league coordinator, or club director of coaching so if you know of a U13 – U16 player that you think has the knowledge, skill and confidence to try out for the state team and submit your recommendation form by September 1.

The recommendation form and fee must be in the CYSA office (1040 Serpentine Lane #201, Pleasanton, CA 94566) no later than September 1st.
The following needs to be sent to CYSA: 1. Complete the Recommendation Player Form 2. Complete the ODP Try-out/Registration Form 3. Attach a $110 check made payable to: CYSA ODP 2012/2013 ODP

About the Olympic Development ProgramA formal recommendation is the first step in the selection of the State, Regional and National ODP Teams. Currently, there are several boys and girls representing our district as players on these teams.
You may play on an ODP team and your Club or League team at the same time. The ODP Program is open to all District 1 CYSA registered players. Non-CYSA registered players will need to complete a registration form which includes a parent's signature and a copy of your birth certificate. If you are already a member of the State, Regional or National teams, you are not eligible for this process. Your current status automatically entitles you to an invitation to the State Camp. All other players must be selected at the District level to be eligible for an invitation to the State Team tryouts.
