The website is the best source of information. http://www.californiaregionalleague.com The cost is going to be $1500. There is a $500 non-refundalbe deposit if your team is selected to play. If your team is NOT selected any deposit will be refunded to your team. The website appears to have a $250 initial deposit required. Take a look at the website to see the quality CalSouth clubs that are joinging this Fall.
The league will have one long travel weekend. They weill have two showcase events, one in Northern California and on ein Southern California. At both of these showcase events Cal North teams will ONLY play Cal South teams. The remainder of the schedule will be played against CalNorth teams. This minimizes the amount of travel.
The best part - there are TWO automatic bids to the Far West Regional Championships!!! and in the first year they have decided one team will be from each area (1 Cal North team and 1 Cal South team).
To those who have questioned whether or not to stay in CYSA, this is one of the reasons why. The showcase events will be attended by college coaches looking for that next great player for their teams!
